Any suggestions of where to go??
Of course we'll spend some time in Istanbul and we're also hoping to do some hiking. There's also the possibility of taking a bus to Sofia, Bulgaria, for a couple days.

I've never been to Turkey, I have been living for one year and half in Tunisia, also another islam country, but I don't know Turkey.
Just enjoy your trip, and if you are not "scariable" just watch before going there "Midnight Express" from Alan Parker... ;)
